Job summary

Jobgether is partnering with a US-focused client to recruit a Senior Accountant (US GAAP) fully remote in Spain. You will support US CPA practices with full-cycle accounting, GL maintenance, and monthly/year-end close, while leveraging AI tools to improve accuracy and efficiency.

We welcome candidates with 7+ years of experience, a CPA/CA/ACCA or equivalent, and strong English communication to interface with US-based clients, ensuring compliance and high-quality financial reporting.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional accounting experience, with at least 2 recent years in a U.S. firm or CPA practice.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP; IFRS-only experience will not be considered.
• CPA/CA/ACCA or equivalent designation preferred.
• Experience in full-cycle accounting, GL maintenance, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations and maintain the general ledger.
• Perform monthly bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Execute month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements (P&L, balance sheets, trial balances).
• Ensure accuracy and confidentiality of records and reporting documentation.
• Support sales tax filings and regulatory compliance across entities.
• Communicate with U.S.-based clients to address questions and provide support.
