Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a ROC Technical Lead for Remote Operations Center (Wind Energy) to oversee offshore wind assets from a remote hub in Barcelona. You will monitor performance, diagnose issues, and support commissioning and service activities to ensure turbines run reliably throughout their lifecycle.

Ideal candidates have engineering degree, wind energy experience, SCADA skills, and strong communication. Some travel up to 20% may be required; relocation to Barcelona is expected.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in wind energy operations.
• Hands-on experience with wind turbines or similar electromechanical systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them to troubleshooting.
• Experience with SCADA and digital monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear, structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyze operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvements.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process optimization and operational efficiency.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work on a rotating weekday shift with occasional on-call weekends/holidays.
