Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a ROC Technical Lead for its Remote Operations Center focused on wind energy. The role centers on safe, efficient offshore wind asset operation from Barcelona, coordinating with field teams and engineers to resolve issues and optimize performance.

You will monitor turbine performance, perform remote diagnostics, and lead problem resolution across commissioning and service phases. Travel up to 20% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent wind-energy experience.
• Hands-on experience with wind turbines or electromechanical systems in operational environments.
• Ability to read electrical schematics for troubleshooting and field support.
• Experience with SCADA systems and digital monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with clear technical communication, calm under pressure, proactive mindset.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.
• Fluent English (spoken and written); willingness to relocate to Barcelona and EU work eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with occasional on-call support during weekends and public holidays.
