Job summary

GE Vernova invites applications for a ROC Technical Lead in Remote Operations Center (Wind Energy) based in Barcelona, Spain. You will oversee safe, efficient offshore wind asset operation from a centralized center, coordinating with site teams and engineering experts.

You will analyze data, diagnose faults, and drive improvements across commissioning and service phases, with opportunities to influence operational performance and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent wind energy experience.
• Hands-on wind turbine or electromechanical systems experience.
• Ability to read electrical schematics for troubleshooting.
• Experience with SCADA and digital monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving with clear technical communication.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.
• Fluent English; relocation to Barcelona and EU work eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support remote diagnostics and troubleshooting during commissioning and service.
• Assist field teams in resolving issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear, structured information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyze operational data to identify faults and trends.
• Contribute to reporting of technical findings and optimizations.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety.
• Work rotating weekday shifts with on-call coverage.
