Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a ROC Technical Lead for Wind Remote Operations in Barcelona, Spain. You will oversee safe, efficient operation of offshore wind assets from a remote center, coordinating with site teams and engineering experts to diagnose and resolve issues.

You will monitor turbine performance, support commissioning and service activities, and drive continuous improvement through data analysis and cross-team collaboration. Relocation to Barcelona and EU work eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent wind energy experience.
• Hands-on wind turbine or electromechanical systems experience in operational environments.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting and field support.
• Experience with SCADA and digital monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with clear technical communication.
• Availability to travel up to 20% of the time, if required.
• Fluent English (spoken and written); willingness to relocate to Barcelona and EU work eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
