Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a ROC Technical Lead for its Wind Remote Operations Center in Barcelona. You will oversee safe, efficient operation of offshore wind assets from a remote center, collaborating with site teams and engineering experts to detect, analyze, and resolve issues throughout commissioning and service phases.

The role requires a engineering degree, hands-on wind turbine experience, proficiency with SCADA and electrical schematics, and strong analytical communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, or equivalent experience in the wind energy sector.
• Hands-on experience with wind turbines or similar electromechanical systems in operational environments.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting and field support situations.
• Experience with SCADA systems and other digital monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with clear technical communication, calm structured approach under pressure, and a collaborative, proactive mindset.
• Availability to travel up to 20% of the time, if required.
• Fluent English (spoken and written), willingness to relocate to Barcelona and EU work eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance
• Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with occasional on-call support during weekends and public holidays
