Placements24 is seeking a highly analytical Power Systems Engineer to join a globally distributed, remote-first team. The role focuses on power flow studies, stability analyses, and grid interconnection design to support renewable integration and grid modernization from a home office.
You will collaborate with utilities, project partners, and equipment vendors, produce technical reports, ensure compliance with grid codes, and stay ahead of evolving technologies.
Qualifications
- Master's degree required in Power Systems.
- 7+ years of experience in power system analysis.
- Strong knowledge of grid codes and standards.
- Experience with power flow, short-circuit, and stability studies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication for remote work.
Responsibilities
- Perform power flow, short circuit, and transient stability analyses for complex power systems.
- Develop grid interconnection studies and specifications for renewable energy projects.
- Design and optimize protection schemes and control systems for grid stability.
- Evaluate the impact of distributed energy resources (DERs) on grid performance.
- Collaborate remotely with utility engineers, project developers, and equipment manufacturers.
- Ensure compliance with national and international grid codes and standards.
- Prepare technical reports, documentation, and present findings to stakeholders.
- Stay abreast of advancements in power system technologies and grid modernization efforts.
