Job summary

Ramboll is seeking a Project Director / Senior Chief Engineer to lead the electrical system design of large-scale power transmission installations. You will work within the international Power Systems organization across electrification, offshore wind, data centres, and major energy infrastructure projects.

You will drive end-to-end design, engage with grid compliance processes, and manage senior technical dialogue with the client while guiding a multidisciplinary team toward sustainable,

Qualifications

• Extensive OEM experience with hands-on modelling.
• Expertise in grid-forming equipment and FACTS.
• Experience with grid compliance and utility-scale integration.
• Minimum five years leading large electrical packages.
• Strong communication and client-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical system design from feasibility through construction.
• Develop optimized designs to connect assets to the grid.
• Drive technical dialogue with TSO/DSO for requirements.
• Oversee engineering for large installations: QA, tendering, oversight.
• Collaborate across disciplines for optimal client outcomes.
• Interact with client senior technical leadership.
• Develop scalable technical concepts across projects.
• Engage in industry groups to stay current with standards.
