Job summary

Amex GBT in Sweden seeks a Virtual Group Air Planner to manage group air travel for Scandinavian clients, from 10 to thousands of attendees, researching airlines and negotiating contracts, with emphasis on group blocks in the GDS.

You will prepare cost comparisons, deliver reporting via Insights/Sage/Power BI, and drive substantial savings while maintaining high service levels across events and programs.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of recent experience as a Travel for Meetings/Group Air Planner or Coordinator.
• Experience compiling event reports via Insights, Sage, or Power BI.
• Knowledge of GDS and group blocks.
• Strong provider research and negotiation skills.
• Experience with registration tools and handling delegate updates is a plus.
• Familiarity with Concur OBT and Cvent integration is advantageous.
• Excellent written and phone communication skills.
• Swedish language skills are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple clients’ events from 10 to thousands of attendees.
• Deliver service per client specifications including research, budgets, policies, negotiation, and airline management.
• Produce event reporting via Insights/Sage/Power BI and manage financials from deposits to final accounts.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute group air travel.
• Communicate effectively with peers to share standard processes.
• Achieve financial targets while delivering savings and managing the booking lifecycle.
• Engage in continuous self-development and training.
• Work independently and as part of a team.
