Job summary

KOMPAS is seeking a Chief of Staff to architect and drive the operating model for a growing European VC. Reporting to the Managing Partner, you will translate strategic vision into execution across investment and platform teams, influencing partners, LPs, portfolio companies, and corporate partners.

The role focuses on implementing scalable processes, KPI/OKR systems, and robust information sharing while managing cross‑functional projects and ensuring accountability.

Qualifications

• Proven track record building scalable processes in high-growth environments.
• Experience as VC/consulting CoS or similar strategic operations role.
• Strong project management with multiple stakeholders and timelines.
• Detail-driven with ability to translate strategy into execution.
• Excellent presentations for LPs, investors and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Drive operating model across investment and platform teams with scalable processes.
• Embed KPI and OKR tracking with regular monitoring and reporting.
• Enhance information sharing between Partners, investment and platform teams.
• Build performance management including check-ins and commitment tracking.
• Create playbooks and process guides for consistent execution.
• Facilitate cross‑functional collaboration and coordinate teams.
• Document decisions, processes and learnings for knowledge sharing.
• Identify bottlenecks and opportunities to reduce manual work.
• Implement tools to optimize workflows and reduce admin burden.
• Support scaling to handle 2x current portfolio.
