Toptal is seeking a Chief Technology Officer to drive execution for product and engineering, making AI central to the company’s platform. You will own the AI architecture, build foundation models, and lead a globally distributed engineering team in a remote setting.

You will set the technical direction, manage resourcing and hiring, and mentor engineers while partnering with the CEO to shape growth, profitability, and operational excellence.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field is required.
• 15+ years of progressive engineering leadership, including CTO/VP level experience.
• Deep, hands-on command of modern AI engineering: foundation models, agentic architectures, harness design, retrieval, and evaluation.
• Agentic systems deployed at scale with measurable outcomes in cost, cycle time, quality or revenue.
• Proven ownership of resourcing and hiring; ability to build teams and set hiring strategy.

Responsabilidades

• Own AI architecture end-to-end and push AI-driven products into production.
• Lead resourcing and workforce planning, sizing teams and defining roles.
• Set technical direction and standards; drive high-velocity, high-quality delivery.
• Coach engineers on agentic best practices and align AI initiatives with business goals.
• Collaborate with Product and executives to scale growth, profitability, and operational excellence.
