To support central purchasing operations for our hotel division, we are seeking an organized, detail-oriented Purchasing Assistant (Auxiliar de Compras) to join our Central Services headquarters in Marbella, Spain.
In this administrative procurement role, you will assist in managing the supply of goods and services across our hotel properties. Specifically, you will support supplier negotiations, execute operational purchase orders, maintain inventory records in SAP MM, and manage vendor correspondence while meeting cost, quality, and delivery schedules.
Job Description: Purchasing Assistant (Fuerte Group Hotels)
Your Mission: Procurement Support & Supply Optimization
Your primary goal involves driving operational purchasing efficiency across our entire hotel division. To achieve this, you will assist in coordinating supplier agreements and supply workflows. At the same time, you will keep procurement databases, inventory valuations, and supplier records accurate. Therefore, you will issue purchase orders, update SAP material masters, manage correspondence, and archive contract files. As a result, you will eliminate supply chain delays and protect our organization’s standard for operational excellence.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Supplier Agreements & Purchasing: Assist in negotiating and closing annual and seasonal supplier contracts according to internal procedures. In addition, place purchase orders for extra-operational materials.
- Database & Material Maintenance: Maintain and update master records for materials, products, and contracted services in company databases.
- Inventory & Stock Valuation: Provide administrative support for periodic inventories across the hotel division, monitoring stock levels and valuation metrics.
- Procurement Filing & Correspondence: Manage department administrative archives, contracts, and delivery paperwork. Furthermore, handle correspondence related to hotel division supplies.
- Cross-Departmental Alignment: Coordinate with hotel operations and central management teams to ensure purchases meet established cost, quality, service, and deadline parameters.
Who You Are: The Detail-Oriented Procurement Professional
- Educational Background: You hold a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration (ADE), Finance, or a related discipline, or an Advanced Vocational Training Degree Grado Superior in Administration and Finance.
- Contract Eligibility: You completed your qualifying degree within the past 3 years to qualify for the graduate work contract contrato laboral en prácticas.
- Technical Software Skills: You possess working proficiency in business management systems, specifically SAP (SAP MM - Materials Management module), along with Microsoft Office applications.
- Industry & Trade Knowledge: You understand hotel operational workflows, purchasing cycles, inventory control, and administrative document management. Knowledge of foreign trade comercio exterior is considered a plus.
- The Linguist: You demonstrate intermediate to high proficiency (B2 level) in English alongside fluent Spanish. Knowledge of additional languages is valued.
- Key Competencies: You exhibit analytical precision, negotiation support skills, structured organization, and effective interdepartmental communication.
