AUTIS is seeking a Product Development & Lifecycle Engineer to join our Product Owners Department. You will define, implement, and improve processes and documentation required for developing products from needs identification through validation, launch, and evolution.

The role emphasizes cross‑functional coordination and traceability, transforming knowledge from multiple technical disciplines into structured standards that scale AUTIS's product development practices.

Formación

• Degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent.

Position Overview

We are looking for a Product Development & Lifecycle Engineer to join AUTIS's Product Owners Department. The selected candidate will play a key role in defining, implementing, and continuously improving the processes, methodologies, and documentation required for the development of new and existing products throughout their entire lifecycle. The successful candidate will work closely with Product Owners and the organization's various technical departments to ensure the proper definition, traceability, and maintenance of all information associated with product development, from the identification of needs and requirements through to the validation, launch, and evolution of solutions. Their main mission will be to contribute to the professionalization and standardization of product development processes at AUTIS, ensuring the application of common methodologies and complete traceability between requirements, design, development, validation, and documentation. The ideal candidate will combine a solid engineering background with excellent organizational and communication skills, being able to coordinate information from multiple technical disciplines and transform it into structured standards and documentation that enable the product development processes within AUTIS to scale and become more professional.

Key Responsibilities

Product Documentation Management:

• Define and maintain the documentation structure required to support product development.
• Prepare and manage templates, procedures, specifications, checklists, and other associated technical documentation.
• Ensure the consistency, availability, and up-to-date status of documentation throughout the entire product lifecycle.

Multidisciplinary Coordination:

• Collaborate with Product Owners in the planning and monitoring of new product developments.
• Facilitate the management of requirements, deliverables, risks, and dependencies between departments.
• Work cross-functionally with technical departments to gather, structure, and consolidate technical knowledge from different specialists for incorporation into product processes and documentation.

Product Lifecycle Management:

• Participate in the definition and continuous improvement of product design, development, launch, implementation, and maintenance processes.
• Ensure the proper transition of information between the different phases and teams involved.
• Ensure traceability between requirements, designs, developments, validations, and final deliverables.

Continuous Improvement:

• Identify opportunities for improvement in product development processes.
• Promote initiatives aimed at increasing the efficiency, quality, reusability, and scalability of the solutions developed by AUTIS.

Requirements

• Degree in Industrial Engineering, Industrial Organization Engineering, or equivalent qualification.
• Professional experience in product development environments, industrial engineering, or technical project management.
• Experience in defining, maintaining, and improving technical processes.
• Experience in the creation and management of technical documentation.
• Ability to work in multidisciplinary environments and coordinate information from different technical areas.
• Knowledge of product development methodologies and product lifecycle management.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High level of English, with the ability to write, review, and improve technical documentation in an international professional environment.

• Experience in industrial automation, machine vision, robotics, or the automotive industry.
• Experience implementing engineering processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Experience with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and collaborative tools.
• Experience with OpenProject, Jira, or equivalent project management tools.
