Elastic in the Cloud world seeks a Principal Software Engineer for its Elasticsearch - Distributed Systems team, focusing on scale, performance, and resilience in a Serverless offering. You will tackle deep distributed systems challenges, including node coordination, data indexing, and cross-node management.

You will design and operate core components, push shard and cluster limits, and mentor teams while collaborating across functions to accelerate development with AI-assisted approaches.

Formación

• Deep background in distributed systems and consensus algorithms.
• Strong skills in core Java and standard library features.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and operate core pieces of a serverless Elasticsearch offering.
• Improve components that support concurrent indexing across machines.
• Maintain cluster coordination for high performance amid node churn.
• Push limits on shards, nodes, and petabytes.
• Investigate performance or concurrency issues and propose solutions.
• Support engineers with complex problems and own end-to-end investigations.
