Moniepoint in Spain seeks a hands-on Head of Engineering for the POS Application Platform. You will shape the platform that underpins Android POS devices across markets, guiding architects, tooling, and developer experience.

You will lead engineers, establish standards, and collaborate with OEMs to onboard new devices while maintaining high reliability and performance across a growing fintech platform. This role combines coding with strategic leadership.

Formación

• Hands-on software engineering on POS devices (Android) in production.
• Strong knowledge of EMV and payment certifications.
• Experience scaling platform engineering functions.
• Leading multi-national engineering teams.
• Familiarity with terminal management and device observability.

Responsabilidades

• Own the POS Application Platform strategy and architecture.
• Define core pillars: DX, reliability, frameworks, and adoption.
• Set engineering standards across a heterogeneous device fleet.
• Lead embedded POS engineers across squads.
• Own observability, monitoring, alerting, and incident response.
• Collaborate with OEM partners on new devices.
• Write and review code 40-60% of time.
• Scale the platform team and hiring.
• Translate platform decisions into business impact.
• Improve CI/CD and developer productivity.
