Moniepoint Inc. is seeking a Head of Engineering for the POS Application Platform.

You will own the technical strategy and architecture for the POS platform across devices, OEMs, and markets, acting as domain CTO for all POS software running on Android. You will lead and scale the platform team, mentor engineers, define standards, pipelines, and tooling, while maintaining hands-on coding 40–60% of the time.

Formación

• A minimum of 10 years in software engineering with 6+ years in leadership roles
• Hands-on experience building software for POS terminal devices (on-device)
• Strong knowledge of EMV, PCI DSS, and P2PE certification processes
• Deep Android engineering expertise (Kotlin/Java)
• Proven track record building internal platforms, libraries, or tooling
• Experience steering architecture across multiple POS device types and OEMs
• A 40-60% coding contribution in current or recent role
• Experience scaling platform engineering functions and governance
• Experience in regulated fintech with high transaction volumes
• Familiarity with terminal management systems and observability tooling

Responsabilidades

• Own the technical strategy and architecture for the POS Application Platform
• Build and govern core platform pillars: developer experience, reliability, frameworks, and adoption
• Define engineering standards across all device types and OEMs
• Lead POS engineers embedded across multiple squads
• Own end-to-end observability, monitoring, and incident response
• Drive device onboarding and integration strategies for new hardware
• Collaborate with OEMs and hardware teams for day-one readiness
• Write and review code (40-60% hands-on) and set technical standards
• Scale the platform team and mentor engineers for international growth
• Translate platform decisions into business impact with leadership teams
• Establish and improve CI/CD, tooling standards, and productivity metrics
