Job summary

PQE Group is seeking a PMO Consultant to support the Engineering Project Management Office in managing CAPEX projects. The role is based in Barcelona with an initial two-year assignment in Sant Cugat del Vallès.

You will work closely with project leadership, handling planning, cost control, reporting, and documentation management to ensure timely delivery and strong project execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management or related field.
• Minimum 1 year of professional experience in PMO, project coordination, or similar role.
• Experience in CAPEX or engineering projects preferred.
• Strong knowledge of project planning, monitoring, reporting and cost control.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Good organizational and documentation management skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the Engineering Project Management Office (PMO) in coordination, planning, monitoring, and cost control of CAPEX projects.
• Collaborate with project leadership and stakeholders to ensure effective follow-up and progress monitoring.
• Assist with project meetings, including agendas, presentations, documentation, and minutes.
• Assist with project reporting, tracking status, milestones, risks, and deliverables.
• Prepare and maintain project presentations and management reports for internal stakeholders.
• Ensure accurate, complete, and timely project documentation management.
• Monitor project timelines, costs, deliverables, and action items.
• Provide general PMO support to ensure projects align with plans and objectives.

We are looking for a PMO Consultant to support the Engineering Project Management Office in the management of CAPEX projects.

The successful candidate will work closely with the project leadership team, supporting project planning, monitoring, cost control, reporting, and documentation management to ensure effective project execution and timely delivery.

‼️Although the position is based in Barcelona, the successful candidate will be assigned to a project in Sant Cugat del Vallès for the initial two-year assignment. Upon completion of this project, the candidate will be assigned to other projects based at our Barcelona office.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Support the Engineering Project Management Office (PMO) in the coordination, planning, monitoring, and cost control of CAPEX projects.
• Collaborate with project leadership and key stakeholders to ensure effective project follow-up and progress monitoring.
• Support the preparation and coordination of project meetings, including agendas, presentations, supporting documentation, and meeting minutes.
• Assist with project reporting, tracking project status, milestones, actions, risks, and key deliverables.
• Prepare and maintain project presentations and management reports for internal stakeholders.
• Ensure accurate, complete, and timely project documentation management, including document tracking, filing, and maintenance.
• Support the monitoring of project timelines, costs, deliverables, and action items.
• Provide general PMO support to ensure projects are effectively monitored and aligned with established plans and objectives.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 1 year of professional experience in PMO, project coordination, project management support, or a similar role.
• Previous experience in CAPEX or engineering projects is preferred.
• Basic understanding of project planning, monitoring, reporting, and cost control.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong organizational and documentation management skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
• Proactive and structured approach, with the ability to work independently when required.
• Fluent Spanish and good command of English.
