Job summary

Radisson Hotel Group is seeking a highly motivated Trainee to support automation, reporting, and continuous improvement of PMO and governance processes in Madrid. You will design and maintain automations, scripts, and dashboards, collaborating with the PMO team.

The role emphasizes data management, analytics, Jira administration, and continuous process improvement. English language skills required; internship eligibility with a university is essential, with a 6-month duration starting September

Qualifications

• Solid academic knowledge in data management & analytics.
• Experience with systems integration and developing solutions.
• Knowledge of project management methodologies and governance.
• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a bachelor’s degree in IT or Engineering.
• Must be eligible for an internship agreement with a university or academic institution.

Responsibilities

• Support automation design, development and maintenance to reduce manual effort and improve data quality.
• Create Python scripts to automate tasks, file consolidation, data cleansing and report generation.
• Assist in developing Power Automate workflows to streamline processes and approvals.
• Support data integration activities via APIs and automated data exchanges (nice to have).
• Maintain portfolio dashboards, project trackers, and status reports using data consolidation and Excel models.
• Produce KPI reporting through Power BI and ensure data governance standards are met.
• Assist Jira reporting, dashboards, and project tracking; develop solutions using Jira APIs.
• Identify opportunities to simplify and automate existing business processes and drive reporting automation.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and technology-oriented Trainee to support the automation, reporting, and continuous improvement of PMO and governance processes.

Process Automation

• Support the design, development and maintain automations that reduce manual effort and improve data quality.
• Create and maintain Python scripts to automate repetitive business tasks, file consolidation, data cleansing, and report generation.
• Assist in developing workflows using Microsoft Power Automate to streamline business processes and approvals.
• Support data integration activities between systems through APIs and automated data exchanges (nice to have).

Data Management & Analytics

Support the PMO team in maintaining portfolio dashboards, project trackers, and status reports by:

• Consolidating and transforming data from multiple sources using Power Query.
• Designing and maintaining Excel models, dashboards, pivot tables, and VBA-based automations.
• Producing KPI reporting through Power BI.
• Ensuring data quality, consistency, and governance standards are maintained.

Jira Administration & Integration (or similar ticketing tool)

• Support Jira reporting, dashboards, and project tracking activities.
• Develop solutions using Jira APIs to automate data extraction, updates, and integrations.
• Assist teams in improving the usage of Jira data for portfolio and project management purposes.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance PMO processes and reporting.
• Identify opportunities to simplify, standardise, and automate existing business processes.
• Drive reporting automation and process enhancements to improve portfolio visibility and decision-making.

Other

• Ability to prepare draft presentations and meeting minutes.
• Understanding of scheduling and coordinating meetings (agendas, follow-ups).
• Experience in organising files and maintaining structured documentation.
• Familiarity with project management methodologies (PMI, Agile, or hybrid approaches).

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess solid academic knowledge and hands-on experience in

• Must be eligible for an internship agreement with a university or an academic institution
