CloudLinux is seeking a Platform Engineer for the PaaS team to own platform services, ensure reliability, and drive automation. You will work with the Infrastructure Department’s Platform cell, focusing on observability, GitLab CI runners, and scalable, self-service solutions.

The role emphasizes build-from-scratch initiatives, incident response, and collaboration with product teams to deliver dependable services. Remote-friendly with strong engineering collaboration across teams.

Formación

• Senior-level experience in infrastructure, platform or SRE with a production service.
• Linux system administration on bare metal and virtual machines; not Kubernetes-heavy.
• Kubernetes in production via GitOps; cluster upgrades performed by you.
• Infrastructure as code: Ansible and Terraform or OpenTofu; changes via merge requests.
• GitLab administration and GitLab CI in production; other CI depth acceptable.
• Working knowledge of Prometheus and Grafana with alerting and dashboards.
• Written technical explanations for engineers outside your team.
• Strong English communication; collaborate with product teams.

Responsabilidades

• Run the observability platform, keep it healthy, watch cost and capacity.
• Operate GitLab and the CI runner fleet; handle upgrades and backups.
• Keep other services healthy with monitoring and runbooks.
• Deploy new services as code with design, testing, and documentation.
• Address developer requests; build self-service solutions.
• Lead incident response and post-mortems with preventive improvements.
• Ship everything as code; plan and check changes in MR.
• Write runbooks and onboarding guides for engineers outside the team.
