CloudLinux is a global remote-first company building and maintaining Linux infrastructure and security products. We seek a hands-on DevOps Engineer to stabilize, modernize, and integrate Patchman’s backend with the broader platform.

You will tackle technical debt, improve reliability, and optimize costs while building scalable systems. You’ll collaborate with teams across the organization, designing backend services, implementing CI/CD, and maintaining a high-throughput data pipeline stack.

Formación

• 5+ years of professional experience as a Backend or DevOps Developer
• Proficiency in at least one high-level programming language
• Experience designing backend services with a focus on performance, concurrency, scalability, and reliability
• Strong Linux systems administration skills
• Hands-on experience with high-throughput data pipelines using Kafka, ClickHouse, RabbitMQ, or similar
• Experience with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL and in-memory databases such as Redis
• Understanding of relational, NoSQL, and in-memory data stores
• Practical experience with Docker and Docker Compose
• Hands-on Kubernetes experience
• Experience with monitoring systems
• Strong CI/CD practices including Git, tests, and deployments
• Excellent debugging and analytical skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Upper-intermediate spoken and written English

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and maintain the Patchman backend infrastructure
• Develop and maintain new product features from design to testing
• Investigate and resolve complex issues, tracing root causes in the codebase
• Operate and maintain a large fleet of dedicated servers with API gateways and load balancers
• Implement and improve CI/CD pipelines for automated delivery
• Write comprehensive unit/integration tests to ensure code quality
• Monitor performance and reliability of production systems and identify improvements
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine architecture and technical direction
