Job summary

Amcor Barcelona site is seeking a Plant General Manager to orchestrate Operations, Production, Maintenance and Warehouse activities within the Meat & Dairy Business Unit. You will lead safety programs, set and monitor KPIs, and drive continuous improvement to deliver quality and service to a prestigious customer base.

Reporting to the site leadership, you will manage a multi-disciplinary team and collaborate with R&D, Sales, Procurement and Amcor corporate functions to execute the business

Qualifications

• Proven level of Operations / Manufacturing experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role.
• Lean and continuous improvement methodologies (Six Sigma, Kaizen).
• Knowledge of production machines, process control equipment, energy management, GMPs, SAP and shop floor systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the site safety programs and drive a health, safety and environment culture.
• Oversee production, maintenance and warehousing activities to meet targets.
• Deliver budgeted production volumes, costs and capital investments.
• Define goals and improvement projects for line managers to improve competitiveness and efficiency.
• Promote value through best practice and new technologies across plants.
