Job summary

Amcor in Barcelona seeks an Operations Manager to lead Production, Maintenance, and Logistics within the Meat & Dairy unit. The role requires strong safety leadership, budget accountability and a track record of process improvements across a multi-functional team at a European site.

You will drive operational excellence, manage senior staff, and collaborate with Corporate functions to ensure customers receive high-quality products on time. This position reports to the Plant General Manager.

Qualifications

• Proven level of Operations / Manufacturing experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Minimum 5 years' experience
• Degree in related subject preferred
• Lean and continuous improvement methodologies e.g. Six Sigma, Kaizen

Responsibilities

• Lead the plant safety program and promote a safety culture.
• Deliver production budgets, waste targets, costs and capex.
• Identify and review potential investments in new equipment.
• Define and manage organizational processes, headcount, shifts and activities.
• Drive cost reduction initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
• Lead engineering and operations activities on site.
• Collaborate with SMT and HR on industrial relations.
