Boortmalt, a global malting company, is seeking an experienced Plant Manager to lead the Villaverde site in Madrid. You will drive safe, sustainable operations and develop engaged, capable teams while delivering operational excellence.

As Plant Manager you will oversee production plans, maintenance, budgets and asset management, while collaborating with local and international stakeholders to support growth and ensure quality, environmental, and food safety standards are met.

At Boortmalt, we are passionate about delivering high-quality malt to brewers, distillers and food producers around the world. We are looking for an experienced Plant Manager to lead our Villaverde site and play a key role in delivering safe, sustainable and high-performing operations while developing engaged and capable teams.
As Plant Manager, you will be responsible for the overall performance of the site, ensuring we deliver operational excellence through strong leadership, continuous improvement and a people-first culture.
You will:

• Lead, coach and develop teams across the site, creating an environment where people can perform, grow and succeed.
• Build a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement aligned with Boortmalt's values.
• Drive performance across safety, quality, service, cost and sustainability objectives.
• Ensure the site consistently meets operational, regulatory and food safety standards.
• Deliver production plans in line with business objectives, budgets and customer expectations.
• Lead change initiatives and support the implementation of operational excellence practices.
• Oversee maintenance, reliability and long-term asset management of the plant.
• Manage budgets, investment projects and capital expenditure plans.
• Collaborate closely with local and international stakeholders to support business growth and operational performance.

You bring:

• Proven leadership experience within a manufacturing, agri-food, beverage or industrial environment.
• Knowledge in malting and brewing is a plus.
• A track record of developing high-performing teams and leading through change.
• Strong operational and business acumen with the ability to translate strategy into results.
• Experience driving continuous improvement initiatives and performance management.
• Knowledge of quality, environmental, food safety and health & safety standards.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage.
