Liquibox in Madrid seeks a Plant Manager to lead a safe, efficient, and sustainable manufacturing site. You will align production, supply chain, quality, maintenance, finance, and commercial priorities to deliver the right products on time with required quality and cost efficiency.

Formación

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Proven experience in manufacturing, plant operations, or site leadership at senior level.
  • Experience leading improvements across safety, quality, service, cost, productivity, and delivery.
  • Native Spanish and professional English proficiency.
  • Experience with automation, digital transformation, ERP, and data analytics.

Responsabilidades

  • Translate company and Liquibox objectives into clear plant priorities, operating plans, and measurable performance goals.
  • Establish management routines, performance reviews, escalation processes, and follow-up actions.
  • Identify performance gaps, root causes, and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
  • Ensure production plans are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with customer requirements.
  • Resolve operational constraints quickly and prevent recurring issues.
  • Maintain visibility of stocks, inventory levels, material availability, and production requirements.
  • Collaborate with supply planner, materials control, production teams, and stakeholders to improve replenishment and material flow.
  • Contribute to the plant budget, forecasts, cost plans, and long-term business priorities.
  • Create a positive, collaborative, and accountable working environment.

Descripción del empleo

As Plant Manager for our Liquibox manufacturing site in Madrid, you will lead the safe, efficient, and sustainable operation of the plant. You will connect production, supply chain, quality, maintenance, finance, commercial, and people priorities to ensure that the plant delivers the right products, at the right time, with the required levels of quality, service, and cost efficiency.You will set the plant’s direction, develop its people, improve processes, manage operational risks, and ensure that the site supports the broader business strategy.

This role requires a leader who can balance daily operational execution with longer-term improvements in capacity, capability, profitability, and customer service. The Plant Manager will also act as a key link between the plant and the wider business, strengthening collaboration with commercial, portfolio, and supply chain teams and helping the organization respond effectively to changing customer and market requirements.

  • Use your strategic thinking, business judgment, and prioritization skills to translate company and Liquibox objectives into clear plant priorities, operating plans, and measurable performance goals.
  • Use your organizational skills to establish effective management routines, performance reviews, escalation processes, and follow-up actions.
  • Use your analytical and decision-making skills to identify performance gaps, understand root causes, and ensure that corrective actions are implemented.
  • Use your manufacturing expertise and operational discipline to ensure that production plans are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with customer requirements.
  • Apply your problem-solving and decision-making skills to resolve operational constraints quickly and prevent recurring issues.
  • Use your visibility and communication skills to stay connected to the plant floor and ensure that issues are identified and addressed early.
  • Use your planning, analytical, and organizational skills to establish clear and reliable visibility of stocks, inventory levels, material availability, and production requirements.
  • Work closely with the supply planner, materials control team, production teams, and relevant business stakeholders to improve replenishment, stock accuracy, and material flow.
  • Use your financial understanding and commercial awareness to contribute to the plant budget, forecasts, cost plans, and longer-term business priorities.
  • Use your leadership, coaching, and communication skills to create a positive, collaborative, and accountable working environment.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in manufacturing, plant operations, production, or site leadership as senior, strategic, or cross-functional operational leadership role.
  • Proven experience managing or improving manufacturing performance across safety, quality, service, cost, productivity, and delivery.
  • Experience leading continuous improvement, operational excellence, change-management, or transformation initiatives.
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, cost control, capital investment, and financial performance analysis.
  • Native Spanish and Professional English proficiency.
  • Experience in packaging, converting, flexible packaging, food packaging, liquid packaging, or a similar manufacturing environment is desirable.
  • Experience with automation, digital transformation, advanced manufacturing technologies, ERP systems, and operational data analytics.
  • Experience working in an international, matrix, or multi-site organization.
  • Work environment: This role is based at the Liquibox manufacturing plant in Madrid and requires regular presence across office, production, warehouse, and plant-floor environments.
