The Predoctoral contract (Ayudas predoctorales PREX) is offered within the NEXT-HTS project at the ICMAB group. You will investigate nucleation/growth of high-temperature superconductors using TLAG, with in-situ XRD, XAS, and GISAXS at ALBA beamlines NCD-SWEET and CLAESS, and ex-situ work at the ETJL lab.

You will join the SUMAN group at ICMAB-CSIC on the UAB campus. The role involves hands-on experiments, data analysis with Python and MATLAB, and collaboration across researchers, with emphasis

Qualificações

• Degree in Physics, Chemistry, Materials Sciences, Engineering or similar.
• High motivation in experimental research and collaboration.
• Working aptitudes in a team.
• High level of written/spoken English.
• Academic grades and research experience will be considered.
• Experience with superconductivity, synchrotron radiation, XRD, XAS, Raman, instrumentation or data handling is valuable.

Responsabilidades

• Carry out pre-doctoral research at ALBA synchrotron's ETJL and beamlines during campaigns.
• Characterize materials using OM, AFM, SEM, XRD, SQUID, TEM and PPMS.
• Analyze data with Python and MATLAB developed in the group.
• Engage in in-situ Raman spectroscopy to study oxygenation of films.
