Job summary

ALBA, located in Catalonia near Barcelona, invites applications for a postdoctoral position focused on correlative operando X-ray Absorption Spectroscopy and (S)TEM in the IMPRESS project. The role reports to the Interdisciplinary and Multimodal Section Head and collaborates with JEMCA and project partners.

The selected candidate will test micro-reactor prototypes in TEM and beamlines, contribute to instrument development, and disseminate findings through publications and conference

Qualifications

• PhD in a relevant science field and hands-on experience in (S)TEM and/or synchrotron X-ray techniques.
• Experience with scientific instrumentation design, testing or operation.

Responsibilities

• Commission and operate micro-cell reactor systems for catalysis research.
• Develop and test correlative (S)TEM/X-ray analysis methods.
• Improve micro-cell reactor systems for multi-technique studies.
• Support staff and collaborators in (S)TEM and X-ray experiments.
• Analyze multimodal data and disseminate results in publications and talks.
