Euraxess in Madrid seeks a PhD-level physicist to lead experimental research in quantum materials, superconductivity and strongly correlated systems. The role covers material synthesis, low-temperature STM/STS, data analysis and FAIR open-data practices.

Responsibilities include collaborative research, instrument development, and high-impact publications. A PhD in Physics or Condensed Matter and experience with cryogenics and advanced characterization are essential.

Formación

• PhD in Physics, Condensed Matter Physics or closely related area.
• Proven experience in condensed matter physics and quantum materials.
• Experience with synthesis, growth and characterization of single crystals and functional materials.

Responsabilidades

• Synthesize materials and characterize samples.
• Apply low-temperature STM/STS and spectroscopy techniques.
• Analyze data and contribute to publications and open-data management.
