Papaya Global is expanding its Payments Implementation team and seeks an experienced implementation specialist in Spain. You will own the end-to-end payments process from onboarding to ongoing support, collaborating with the KYC team and 3rd party providers to ensure accurate, timely execution across countries.

The role requires 3+ years in payments onboarding, strong communication, and hands-on use of AI tools for automation and controls. Experience with Payroll Payments is a plus.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM or related field.
• 3+ years of onboarding/implementation experience in Payments.
• Experience with Payroll Payments is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Collaborate with 3rd party payment providers to resolve queries.
• Ensure payments and reports load correctly into the system.
• Maintain high levels of customer service and support scale-up.

Papaya is expanding its Payments Implementation team and are looking for an experienced implementation specialist. Our business is currently going through significant growth, and we require an individual with prior experience of onboarding customers within Payments and preferably Payroll Payments.

You Will:

• Be responsible for the E2E payments process from onboarding to ongoing. This will involve regular interaction with customers and providing SME guidance where necessary on payroll and authority payments across different countries.
• Work with Papaya’s Due Diligence/KYC team to help approve all new customers.
• Conduct ‘penny tests’ for all new customer employees prior to go-live.
• Provide training to customers on how to use the Payments component of the Papaya platform.
• Be the first port of call for payment related queries and concerns
• Investigating and responding to payment queries from internal and external parties
• Monitoring of payments execution and resolving any issues
• Working with 3rd party payment providers to resolve queries
• Ensuring payments/reports are loaded on to the system correctly and timely
• Provide and maintain exceptionally high levels of customer service
• Work collaboratively with the rest of the payments and customer service teams as we continue to scale

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree – preferably in a STEM subject
• 3+ years of experience in onboarding/implementation within a Payments division or company.
• Experience of Payroll Payments would be a significant advantage.
• Excellent communications skills – written and verbal
• Proactive and creative in problem-solving, showing responsible approach and ownership
• Proven hands-on experience applying AI tools in payment services beyond basic usage, including process automation, discrepancy detection, reporting, and strengthening controls to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely execution
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure
• Proficient in tools like Salesforce, Microsoft office etc.
• Experience working in a scale-up business would be beneficial
