Job summary

JD.com, Inc. is seeking an Outbound Team Leader to supervise and optimize daily outbound operations in our logistics centers. You will lead a team to achieve efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction in the outbound shipping process.

You will plan tasks, monitor KPI performance, and implement improvements while maintaining safety and collaborating with inbound, inventory, and transportation teams. A degree in logistics or related field and 3–5 years of experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in logistics, warehousing, or fulfillment operations, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or team leadership role.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong understanding of outbound logistics processes, including picking, packing, shipping, and quality control.
• Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant logistics software.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement data-driven solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required by operational needs.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage a team of outbound associates, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Plan, organize, and allocate daily tasks and resources to meet outbound shipping targets and deadlines.
• Monitor team performance against established KPIs, including pick rates, packing accuracy, shipping timelines, and quality control.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance outbound efficiency, reduce errors, and optimize resource utilization.
• Conduct regular team meetings, provide constructive feedback, and facilitate training and development opportunities for team members.
• Address and resolve operational issues, team conflicts, and performance concerns promptly and effectively.
• Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing safety regulations and promoting best practices.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as inbound, inventory, and transportation, to ensure smooth end-to-end logistics operations.
• Prepare and present performance reports to management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and proposed solutions.
• Maintain accurate records of team performance, attendance, and training.
