Intact Insurance Europe in Madrid is seeking an Operations Technician to support the French market and broader European operations. The role focuses on processing policies, handling data in systems, and ensuring service quality within a collaborative team.

You will work with underwriting, claims, and finance to maintain accurate records and comply with regulatory requirements, contributing to efficient operations and customer satisfaction.

Responsabilidades

• Follow instructions to accurately process data onto systems in a timely manner to meet service standards and KPIs.
• Process commercial/specialty programmes including multinational programmes within the French market.
• Check instructions/risk information data and raise queries promptly where required.
• Process bookings of premiums, pools, local and foreign taxes, and reinsurance as needed.
• Carry out processing of taxes for FoS programmes onto the relevant systems.
• Collaborate with underwriters to structure multinational programmes within Intact Insurance Europe’s network and financial systems.
• Respond to customer/intermediary queries and follow agreed processes to ensure high service standards.
• Coordinate with Underwriting, Claims, Operations and Finance for timely communication.
• Take personal accountability for proactive problem solving.
• Support in handling routine information requests and in producing business information to assist other areas.
• Adhere to best practices, regulatory requirements and company policies.

The opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for an Operations Technician to join our Operations team in Madrid, playing a key role in supporting the French market.

The role involves performing routine operational and technical tasks within the Operations department, supporting Domestic and Multinational programmes for the French and wider European business areas. The work will be focused on processing policies, supporting the customer service delivery and being compliant to the global network service level agreements. The role is desk based and involves working as part of a team owning policy maintenance, processing, and recording of quality business data. The jobholder will be able to effectively process in the systems all types of policies including complex and/or multinational programmes, adhering to best practices. You will work closely with other internal departments to deliver a high level of service to customers. Adherence of technical processes and regulatory compliance will be critical.

Some of the Operations Technician responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Following receipt of instructions, to accurately process data onto the various systems in a timely manner to meet service standards and operational KPIs.
• Processing commercial/specialty programmes including multinational programmes within the assigned lines of business for the French market.
• Check instructions/risk information data and raise queries promptly where required.
• Process the bookings of premiums, pools, local and foreign taxes, and reinsurance as necessary onto the relevant operational systems.
• Carry out processing of taxes for FoS programmes onto the relevant systems.
• Work with underwriters on the best ways to structure multinational programmes to make best use of Intact Insurance Europe’s network and adhering to financial systems.
• Respond to customer/intermediary queries as required and to follow agreed processes, policies, and procedures to ensure customer service standards are consistently achieved.
• Work together with Underwriting, Claims, Operations and Finance teams ensuring effective and timely communication.
• Take personal accountability for active problem solving.
• Support in handling the routine flow of requests for information into and out of the department as well as organizing the production and reporting of business information as necessary to assist and inform other business areas when required.
• Comply with the required standards of best practice, operating effectiveness, and efficiency and all legal, regulatory and policy requirements.
• Provide ongoing coaching to team members, providing advice/solutions on technical referrals.
• Contribute as a subject matter expert to the development of Intact Insurance Europe Business including participation in project/s and/or continuous improvement as required.
• Undertake any other administration and product processing activities as necessary to maximize operational effectiveness.
