Jobtailor is seeking a proactive Transaction Operations Specialist to support energy trading operations, ensuring accurate deal entry, validation, settlement, and confirmations.

You will collaborate with Front Office, Risk, Accounting, Logistics, and IT to maintain smooth daily operations and resolve issues efficiently. A strong analytical mindset and knowledge of ETRM/SAP are valuable assets.

Formación

• Experience in energy trading operations and back-office activity.
• Strong knowledge of energy/financial markets, settlements, and operational risk management.
• Fluent English communication; additional European languages preferred.
• Analytical, detail-oriented mindset with process optimization skills.
• Project management and IT proficiency; familiarity with ETRM and SAP.

Responsibilities

• Support transaction management activities across energy trading operations, ensuring accurate deal entry, validation, settlement, and confirmations.
• Collaborate closely with Front Office, Risk, Accounting, Logistics, and IT teams to ensure smooth daily operations and efficient issue resolution.
• Monitor and improve operational processes, internal controls, and quality standards across Transaction Management activities.
• Manage and resolve operational inquiries through shared mailboxes and JIRA while acting as a key contact for trading desks.
• Contribute to IT and process improvement projects, including system enhancements, new market integrations, and operational optimization initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, financial reporting standards, and internal control processes across trading operations.

Requirements

• Experience in energy trading operations, transaction management, or back-office activities within the energy sector.
• Strong understanding of energy and financial markets, trading products, settlements, and operational risk management.
• Confident communication skills in English (C1/C2); ideally, you also speak additional European languages.
• Analytical and solution-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail and process optimization skills.
• Good project management and IT skills, ideally with experience working with ETRM and SAP systems.
• Open to innovation, continuous learning, and collaboration in a fast-changing environment.
