Moeve is looking for a strategic professional to support Trading strategy development across commodities, green molecules, and Gas & Power in Madrid. The role involves conducting strategic analyses and preparing high-quality materials for senior management.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's or Master's degree and 3–5 years of experience in strategic consulting or related fields, alongside strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel and Power BI.

Within this journey, our Trading business plays a pivotal role, maximizing value across both traditional hydrocarbons and emerging energy markets by expanding and leveraging our trading platform.

Within Trading, the Strategy team supports the definition, evaluation, and execution of key strategic initiatives. The team delivers rigorous market, strategic, and financial analysis across commodity trading activities, helping identify growth opportunities, optimize capital allocation, and strengthen Moeve’s positioning in both conventional and low‑carbon markets, including commodities, green molecules, and Gas & Power.

Working closely with Trading desks and corporate functions, the team enables informed, risk‑adjusted decision‑making that supports long‑term value creation and the evolution of Moeve’s trading business.

The Responsibilities We’ll Trust You With

• Support the definition and refinement of Trading strategy across commodities, green molecules, and Gas & Power, in line with Group strategic priorities.
• Perform strategic, market, and competitive analyses to assess growth opportunities, portfolio optimization levers, and new business initiatives.
• Develop quantitative analyses, business cases, and scenario assessments (profitability, cash flow, risk‑adjusted returns) to support strategic decisions.
• Contribute to the evaluation of new products, markets, and trading models, including energy transition and low‑carbon value chains.
• Coordinate with Trading desks, Risk, Finance, Middle Office, and Corporate Strategy to ensure strategic alignment and analytical consistency.
• Prepare high‑quality materials for senior management, Trading Committees, and executive forums (presentations, one‑pagers, strategic notes).
• Monitor strategy implementation initiatives, track key milestones and KPIs, and support follow‑up actions.
• Stay up to date on market trends, regulatory developments, and structural changes impacting global energy and commodity trading.

What We Are Looking For

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of professional experience in strategic consulting, strategy/analysis roles within energy or commodity‑related companies.
• Solid understanding of commodity Trading fundamentals, preferably with exposure to Gas & Power, green molecules, or low‑carbon energy markets.
• Experience developing strategic analyses, business cases, and executive‑level materials.
• Strong understanding of commodity markets and trading economics, with solid financial modeling and analytical capabilities.
• Proficiency in Excel and Power BI.
• English (C1 level, written and spoken).
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and data quality.
• Effective communicator and confident stakeholder manager.
• Ability to work independently and in cross‑functional teams.
• Proactive problem‑solver with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
• Organized planner able to handle multiple priorities under pressure.
