Mercor seeks native Odia speakers to annotate and transcribe Odia documents with exact script fidelity. You will bound every meaningful region, assign types, and record reading order across multi-column and handwritten layouts.

You will also capture metadata, link regions to figures or tables, and ensure transcription matches the original script. The role requires character-level accuracy, meticulous review by a peer, and strict adherence to Odia orthography and diacritics.

Formación

• Native Odia speaker with full command of the Odia script and orthography.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in transcription and annotation.
• Experience with document annotation, transcription, localization, or related tasks is a plus.
• Familiarity with multi-column layouts, handwriting, and diverse document formats.

Responsabilidades

• Source publicly accessible Odia PDFs containing multimodal elements and note their source.
• Annotate structure by bounding regions, assigning component type, and reading-order index.
• Record relationships by linking regions to parent figures or tables.
• Transcribe faithfully in Odia script, flagging illegible regions.
• Capture page metadata: language, document type, source, dimensions, and handwriting/diacritics presence.
• Review a colleague's work as part of a two-expert verification process.
