Mercor seeks native Bengali speakers to annotate and transcribe Bengali documents with utmost accuracy. You will identify regions, bound them with correct types, and ensure reading order across multi-column layouts.

You will work on publicly accessible Bengali PDFs, preserve script fidelity, and collaborate in a structured review process with a second Bengali expert. Expect meticulous attention to diacritics and conjunct forms, and a steady, methodical approach to hundreds of pages in diverse

Formación

• Native Bengali speaker with full command of Bengali script and orthography.
• Experience in document annotation, transcription, localization, or proofreading.
• Extremely careful with characters, diacritics, and conjunct forms.

Responsabilidades

• Source Bengali PDFs that are publicly accessible and contain multimodal elements.
• Annotate page structure by bounding regions (title, headings, paragraphs, lists, tables, figures) with types and reading order.
• Link each region to its parent table/figure to show relationships.
• Transcribe faithfully in Bengali script, noting illegible regions.
• Record page metadata: language, document type, source, dimensions, and flags for tables, formulas, handwriting.
• Undergo a second expert review to ensure accuracy.
