Mercor is seeking a meticulous Malayalam annotator to join our data-labeling team. You will annotate document pages, bound regions, and reading orders for multilingual PDFs, preserving exact Malayalam text including handwriting where present.

You must be a native Malayalam speaker with strong attention to script, diacritics, and layout variance, thriving on precise, long-form transcription and systematic taxonomy across hundreds of pages.

Formación

• Native Malayalam speaker with full command of Malayalam script and diacritics.
• Experience in annotation, transcription, localization, or related data review.
• You apply taxonomy consistently across hundreds of pages.
• Comfortable with unfamiliar layouts like multi-column layouts and mixed scripts.

Responsabilidades

• Source Malayalam PDFs with multimodal elements and record the source.
• Annotate structure: bound regions, types, and reading order.
• Record relationships: link regions to their parent figures/tables.
• Transcribe faithfully: reproduce Malayalam text exactly, flag illegible parts.
• Capture page metadata: language, document type, source, dimensions, handwriting flags.
• Review a colleague's work: second Malayalam expert review required.
