Mercor is seeking a meticulous Bengali annotation specialist to build training data for document understanding across multilingual scripts. You will locate publicly accessible Bengali PDFs, bound and classify page regions, and ensure precise transcription.

You will work under a second Bengali expert review, maintaining strict character-level accuracy across handwritten and multi-column layouts, with attention to diacritics and script rules.

Formación

• Native Bengali speaker with full command of the script and orthography.
• Experience in annotation, transcription, localization, or related review work.
• Extreme care for character-level accuracy; correct diacritics are essential.

Responsabilidades

• Source Bengali PDFs from publicly accessible pages.
• Annotate and bound every meaningful region with type and reading order.
• Record relationships by linking regions to their parent figures or tables.
• Transcribe text exactly as written in Bengali script.
• Capture page metadata: language, document type, source, dimensions, and flags for tables/handwriting.
• Review work with a second Bengali expert.
