Job summary

Dematic is seeking an Electrical/Mechatronics/Controls Engineer to deliver trained automation projects. You will work on PLC software, visualization, and commissioning for on-site deployments, collaborating with customers to ensure safe, reliable operations and timely delivery.

Ideal candidates have hands-on experience in industrial automation, familiarity with Siemens and Rockwell PLC tools, and the ability to interpret electrical drawings. Some travel and strong teamwork are expected.

Qualifications

Experience in Electrical/Mechatronics/Controls Engineering.
Hands-on experience in industrial automation environment.
Understanding of PLC development tools (Siemens, Rockwell).
Familiarity with electrical drawings and manuals.

Responsibilities

Deliver the assigned project scope while meeting safety, quality, on-time delivery and budget requirements.
Provide support to our customers on site or remotely as required.
Produce PLC software and/or visualization systems and emulation tests.
Interpret electrical schematics and design input information for integration.
Commission control systems on-site including electrical and PLC software commissioning, plus end-user training.

Tasks and Qualifications:

Deliver the assigned project scope and tasks by meeting\exceeding our safety, quality, On-Time-Delivery and budget requirements.
Provide Support to our customers.
To produce PLC software and/or visualization systems.
To emulate and test PLC software.
To interpret electrical schematics and design input information.
To commission controls systems on-site including electrical and PLC software commissioning and to provide support to system test activities and training for the end user
To produce commissioning documentation including, but not limited to, commissioning checklists, test specifications,
Provide technical guidance.
To maintain of all associated documentation including, but not limited to, design calculations, design specifications, Method Statements and Risk Assessments, operation and maintenance manuals, and test specifications.

Qualifications & Experience

Experience in Electrical/Mechatronics/Controls Engineering as a minimum.
Extensive proven hands-on experience working within an industrial automation environment.
Understanding of PLC development tools (Siemens, Rockwell...)
Good understanding of Electrical and Electronic technical manuals & drawings.
Understanding of design requirements such as Machine Directive and its standards including safety standards.
Good understanding of distributed control systems.
Extensive understanding of software testing and emulation.
Understanding of automated warehouse desirable not essential.
