Job summary

Ubisoft Barcelona Mobile seeks a Game Designer to shape next-gen mobile experiences. You will define game specifications from concept to launch and refine games to maximize retention and monetization, with a focus on social gaming and F2P mobile ecosystems. Spanish ability is a plus and a Spain work permit is required.

You’ll own features end-to-end, collaborate with producers, and iterate based on player data and feedback to create engaging player experiences.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience as a game designer.
• Experience designing free-to-play RPGs with live gameplay balancing to keep them fair and engaging.
• Understanding engagement and monetization KPIs for mobile games.
• Ability to analyze gameplay mechanics and feature designs for mobile games.
• Knowledge of F2P monetization strategies and balance.
• Ability to design level systems and individual gameplay features.
• Spanish language ability is a plus.”

Responsibilities

• Design and create new features, systems, and content with producers, developers, and artists.
• Own tuning and balancing of gameplay systems and content, write briefs and specs.
• Take ownership end-to-end from concept to release and iterate based on feedback.
• Play test by analyzing data and player feedback to optimize the game.
• Collaborate to implement systems into gameplay and balance multiple systems.
• Identify improvements to gameplay loops and new features with stakeholders.
