Julius Baer in Madrid seeks an experienced professional to support accounting, regulatory & tax reporting, and portfolio valuation for Sicavs and mutual funds. You will monitor trade settlements, treasury activities, and client reporting, ensuring compliance with local regulations.

With 5+ years in a middle-office or operations role within an asset management context, you will collaborate with relationship managers, portfolio managers, and external administrators to deliver high-quality service

• Trade settlement monitoring and Sicav shares trading.
• Treasury and cash management including FXs, repos, deposits, corporate actions.
• Regulatory & tax reporting for Sicavs and mutual funds.
• Monthly client reporting and reconciliations.
• Coordinate with external administrators, brokers and registries.

Responsible for Accounting, Regulatory & Tax Reporting, Portfolio Valuation, Audit, and other tasks related to the Discretionary Business (Sicavs, Mutual Funds, Portfolios).

YOUR CHALLENGE

• Trade Settlement: Monitoring, Sicav Shares trading.
• Treasury, Cash Management: Cash Flow, FXs, Repos, Deposits, Corporate Actions.
• Acc Opening: Bloomberg, Depositories, NAV System, Allfunds, brokers. Client Contracts & Documentation.
• Portfolio Model set up (Recons, Benchmarks, Asset Classification).
• Sicav & MFs Shareholders: account opening, maintenance, funding, trading.
• Accounting of the Sicavs/Funds, in compliance with local regulations.
• Daily Asset & Portolio Valuation. NAV calculation & validation.
• Close monitoring of the services provided by the external Administrator of the Collective Investment vehicles, Depositories, brokers and Mutual Fund Platforms.
• Regulatory & Tax Reporting related to Sicavs and Mutual Funds, and for Julius Baer Gestion.
• Manage GMIS (Global Management Information System): Calculation and Control of Revenues, Asset under Management, Net new Money.
• Client Reporting. Monthly generation, review, delivery.
• Reconciliations (Cash, Holdings, Provisions...).
• Billing: Calculation, Accrual, Processing, Control.
• Coordinate Corporate Secretary functions (Board of Directors, Shareholder’s Meetings), relation with Registry of Commerce.
• Support to JB Gestion and Mutual Funds & Sicavs Auditors: Annual Accounts, Compliance, Asset Protection, AML, Group Internal Audits.
• Relation with Regulators (CNMV-Stock Exchange-Bank of Spain).
• Tax Reclaim documentation. Delivery, follow up with Tax Authorities & Custodians.
• Support the Mutual Fund Distribution functions for the Discretionary and Advisory businesses, related to Foreign Collective Investment Schemes.

Professional and Technical

• 5+ years of experience in Middle Office or operations area in an Asset Management Company (Gestora), performing similar functions.
• Knowledge on Spanish regulations related to Accounting, Audit, Regulatory & Tax Reporting for Mutual Funds & Sicavs -both UCITs and Alternative-, Portfolios and other investment vehicles.
• Knowledge on all operational aspects related to the investments of the vehicles (trading, execution, settlement, cash management...).
• Understands the requirements of the business to provide the best service to the Relationship Managers, Portfolio Managers and Clients.
• Understands and implement the Internal Policies and Security Standards.
• High level of English (written & spoken).
