Job summary

M47 - AI Company in Barcelona is seeking a skilled Manual QA Tester to join our expanding mobile applications QA group onsite.

You'll perform manual testing, verify fixes, run automated tests, review Splunk dashboards, and ensure quality across web, TV, mobile, and Mac platforms. Ideal candidates have strong debugging, API testing, and Python basics, plus excellent communication in a fast-moving, international team.

Qualifications

• Experience in manual QA testing of mobile apps and APIs
• Strong ability to test backend services and APIs for reliability
• Deep experience in API functional testing and automated test execution
• Experience with web devTools, server-side logging tools (e.g., Splunk) and HTTP traffic monitoring tools (e.g., Charles Proxy)
• Strong debugging skills and meticulous attention to detail
• Excellent organizational and communication skills; English proficiency required
• Bonus: basic Python to fix flaky tests and analyze automation failures

Responsibilities

• Perform manual testing to uncover usability issues, edge cases and regressions that automation may miss
• Verification of bug fixes and server changes for release qualification
• Execute automated tests and triage test failures
• Review Splunk queries and dashboards, create new ones as needed
• Perform regression testing for web app and TV app on mobile and Mac
• Write, execute and maintain comprehensive server-side manual test plans
• Analyze test results, troubleshoot and triage issues with different teams to drive towards root cause identification and resolution

About Your Day-to-day

The QA team is looking for an experienced Manual QA Tester to work as part of our expanding mobile applications QA group.

• Perform manual testing to uncover usability issues, edge cases and regressions that automation may miss
• Verification of bug fixes and server changes for release qualification
• Execute automated tests and triage test failures
• Review splunk queries and dashboards, create new ones as needed
• Perform regression testing for web app and TV app on mobile and Mac
• Write, execute and maintain comprehensive server-side manual test plans
• Analyze test results, troubleshoot and triage issues with different teams to drive towards root cause identification and resolution.

This Is For You If You Have

• Fast learning capabilities with the ability to understand complex relationships between backend systems and services
• Proficiency in testing mobile apps and backend/APIs
• Deep experience in API functional testing, API test development, execution of automated tests and bug reporting.
• Experience with web devTools, server side logging tools (e.g. Splunk) and HTTP traffic monitoring tools (e.g. Charles Proxy).
• Strong problem solving and debugging skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Outstanding organizational, interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written)
• Bonus qualification - basic knowledge of Python to be able to fix flaky tests and provide deeper analysis for the automation test failures
