Job summary

Monzo is seeking a Strategy & Commercial Manager in Madrid to shape its Spain market expansion and launch strategy. You will own country performance, build commercial cases, and partner with the Spain GM and country team to translate insights into action.

You will combine product, data, finance and marketing inputs to drive growth in a fast-moving, highly regulated environment. Hybrid work model in Madrid with performance incentives.

Qualifications

• Experience in management consulting, investment banking, commercial strategy, business operations or financial services.
• Strong analytical and commercially minded, with problem-solving, financial modelling and data analysis skills.
• Able to own ambiguous problems and drive work from initial analysis through to decisions and action.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end view of country performance across Personal and Business Banking; track acquisition, activation, engagement, retention and profitability.
• Build market and competitor intelligence for Spain; translate market movements into commercial insights and recommendations.
• Build data-driven commercial business cases; assess opportunities, partnerships and strategic initiatives.
• Anticipate risks, incidents and second-order effects affecting customers and business.
• Act as a strategic and commercial partner to the Spain GM and country team; coordinate cross-functional initiatives and drive decisions into action.
• Collaborate with Product, Data, Finance, Marketing and Operations to form a holistic view of the business.
