Job summary

Cigna Healthcare is hiring an experienced Human Resources Business Partner to join the Spain HR team, based in Madrid. This role blends operational HR partnership with strategic project delivery, supporting a defined employee population in a highly regulated environment.

You will collaborate with Europe-wide HR colleagues, guide managers, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive initiatives across AI adoption, employee engagement, and organisational change.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, business, law, or related field.
• Experience as HRBP, HR Generalist, or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of Spanish employment law and HR best practices.
• Experience supporting regulated employee populations (healthcare, insurance, financial services) or similar compliance environment.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary HR partner for assigned business areas across the employee lifecycle.
• Advise managers and employees on employee relations, performance management, organisational change and workforce planning.
• Ensure compliance with Spanish employment legislation and internal policies.
• Manage employee information and HR processes through Workday.
• Collaborate with HR Centres of Excellence and Shared Services to deliver a high-quality employee experience.
• Lead and support employee engagement initiatives and action plans.
• Design or coordinate manager education and capability-building programmes.
• Support internal communications to strengthen culture and employee connection.
• Coordinate local inclusion and compliance initiatives.
• Promote AI awareness and responsible adoption across the workforce.
• Identify opportunities to simplify HR processes and improve data quality.
