Job summary

EDITION Hotels in Barcelona is seeking a skilled non-management cook to join our culinary team. You will prepare special meals, regulate oven temperatures, and ensure proper portioning, presentation, and garnish according to our recipes and standards.

You will also assist with hiring, training, scheduling, and coaching staff, while upholding safety policies, cleanliness, and confidentiality. The role requires energy to handle busy periods and a dedication to guest delight.

Qualifications

• Education: Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree.
• Related Work Experience: At least 3 years of related work experience.
• Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience.
• License or Certification: None

Responsibilities

• Prepare special meals or substitute items; regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters.
• Pull food from freezer storage to thaw in the refrigerator; ensure proper portion, arrangement, and garnish.
• Maintain food logs; monitor quality and quantity of food; communicate needs during busy periods.
• Inform Chef of excess food items for daily specials; inform staff of menu specials and out-of-stock items.
• Prepare and cook food according to recipes and standards; prepare cold foods.
