Job summary

Marriott International’s The Luxury Collection in Elciego, Spain, seeks a skilled Cook to prepare ingredients, portion, and cook according to recipes and standards. You will operate ovens, grills, and fryers, monitor food quality, and help with mise en place.

You will follow safety and cleanliness policies, maintain professional appearance, and support the culinary team to deliver consistent, high-quality dishes for guests across the hotel’s dining venues.

Qualifications

• PREFERRED QUALIFICATION: Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Related Work Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food.
• Wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables.
• Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients.
• Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist.
• Set-up and break down work station.
• Serve food in proper portions onto proper receptacles.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and equipment.
• Stand, walk, or sit for extended periods.
