Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Process Improvement Engineer to join the operations team in Queenstown. This role drives continuous improvement across chemical manufacturing processes to boost efficiency and product quality.

You will analyze operations, identify bottlenecks, and implement Lean/Six Sigma initiatives in collaboration with production, quality, and maintenance teams. A chemical engineering degree plus 3+ years' experience is expected, with strong analytical skills and data-analysis

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in process engineering, quality improvement, or operations support.
Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma (certification is a plus).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Analyze existing chemical production processes to identify opportunities for improvement using Lean and Six Sigma.
Develop and implement process modifications to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
Collect and analyze operational data to monitor process performance and identify trends.
Collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to implement improvement projects.
Document proposed changes, project outcomes, and best practices.
Assist in troubleshooting process issues and developing preventative measures.
