Dow Jones Barcelona is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to drive architectural decisions and build scalable web, mobile and AI platforms for our premium brands. You will work with product managers and designers to shape the platform that enables innovation across Dow Jones.

You will guide a team of engineers, promote best practices, ensure reliable deployments, and help scale products, with a focus on performance and maintainability in a fast-paced publishing environment.

Formación

• 5+ years in software engineering with 2-4 years in a lead role.
• Experience with B2C/B2B digital products and subscription models.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript and web best practices.
• Experience with AI tools to improve productivity for consumer products.
• Familiarity with cloud architectures and scale considerations.

Responsabilidades

• Define and implement application architecture models and standards.
• Analyze complex tech problems and propose cross-team solutions.
• Partner with product to manage scope and deliverables for the roadmap.
• Collaborate with engineers across Dow Jones and News Corp to reuse tech.
• Oversee deployments to production environments.
• Define development standards for apps and services.
• Identify technical debt and propose prioritization and timelines.
