Dow Jones is seeking a Lead Software Engineer in Barcelona to shape next-gen web, mobile, and AI platforms for premium Dow Jones brands. You will collaborate with product managers and designers to define and architect a scalable platform that drives product innovation across B2C and B2B offerings.

Lead engineers champion quality, scalability, and performance, while guiding the team, overseeing deployments, and aligning technical decisions with business goals.

Formación

• 5+ years in software engineering with 2-4 years in a lead role
• Experience with B2C and B2B digital products
• Strong knowledge of web technologies and modern JS frameworks
• Experience building high-traffic online products and subscriptions
• Familiarity with AI tools to boost productivity
• Knowledge of scalable software architectures and cloud platforms

Responsabilidades

• Define and implement architecture models and standards
• Analyze complex tech problems across teams
• Collaborate with product to manage scope and deliverables
• Work with Dow Jones and News Corp engineers on shared tech
• Oversee deployments to production environments
• Design developer, testing and monitoring standards
• Define development standards for apps and services
• Identify tech debt and prioritize remediation
