Dow Jones Barcelona is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to design, architect and deliver a platform supporting web, mobile and AI across B2C and B2B offerings. You will lead engineers, partner with product, and ensure scalable, reliable products with strong deployment practices.

You will drive architecture, collaborate with Dow Jones and News Corp teams, and mentor developers while shaping the platform’s performance and usability at scale.

Formación

• 5+ years in software engineering
• 2-4 years in a lead engineering role
• Strong understanding of Javascript and web best practices
• Experience with AI tools for productivity
• Knowledge of software engineering fundamentals

Responsabilidades

• Define and implement application architecture models and programming standards with direction setting support.
• Analyze complex technological problems and present cross-team solutions.
• Partner with product to manage scope and deliverables for the technical roadmap.
• Collaborate with engineers across Dow Jones and News Corp to build products and leverage shared tech.
• Handle and oversee deployments to production environments.
• Design and implement developers’ testing, monitoring, change management and implementation.
• Define development standards for applications and services.
