Job summary

Sysdig is seeking a driven software engineer to help advance cloud-native security tooling in Falco, OSS Sysdig, and related libraries. You will contribute as a developer and possibly a maintainer, helping users adopt the projects and fix bugs.

The role focuses on releasing software and building modern automation while engaging with the OSS community via Slack and GitHub; conferences like Kubecon are part of the landscape. Linux, eBPF, containers, and Kubernetes experience is valued.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience as Software Engineer in cloud native or security domains.
• Strong programming skills in C/C++, Golang, Rust.
• Experience with Linux, eBPF, containers and Kubernetes.
• Contributions to open source projects and OSS communities.

Responsibilities

• Develop new technology within Falco, OSS Sysdig, and related libraries.
• Contribute to open source projects and possibly become a maintainer.
• Help users, adopters, and fix reported bugs.
• Responsible for making releases and automation.
• Engage with the community via Slack and GitHub; attend conferences and write blogs on OSS.
