Job summary

Grafana is seeking a Head of Security Engineering to lead an Application Security team covering app security, cloud security and internal tooling development. You will own vulnerability management, coordinate disclosure, and coach engineers to deliver secure code and resilient systems.

You will influence product strategy, drive incidents, and mentor staff, with a strong DevOps mindset and OSS/Cloud expertise.

Qualifications

Proven leadership of a security engineering team with outcomes.
Strong written and verbal communication for technical and business audiences.
Experience securing and operating in public cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure) with Kubernetes.
Comfort engaging with OSS projects and large-scale distributed systems.
Ability to drive incidents, define strategy, and mentor staff.

Responsibilities

Lead the Application Security team across app, cloud and tooling security.
Own 1st and 3rd party vulnerability management and disclosure coordination.
Coach and develop team; drive incidents and strategic direction.
Define and implement engineering strategy with security leadership and stakeholders.
Engage in design reviews and translate security into business impact.
